School Year Camp

PreK - 5th Grade

Each School Year Camp day is a unique adventure where we explore nature or visit local communities to gather inspiration and ideas that fuel our art-making process during the day.

Class Experience:

  • Outdoor Adventures: We venture to nearby parks and local communities to find inspiration and to connect to nature.

  • Fun & Meaningful Art Projects: Children will dive into a wide range of themed projects inspired by their daily lives, art movements and the world around them. They’ll experiment with painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, and more—using both traditional and non-traditional materials and techniques.

  • Gentle Guidance: Our experienced teaching artists offer support through thoughtful questions and guidance, helping each child expand their creativity and express their unique ideas.

Sample Schedule

8:30: early drop-off 

9-9:45: regular drop-off, warm-up activity 

10 - 11:30: Activity #1 (outdoor adventure, weather permits)

11:30 - 1:30: Lunch & Free Play

1:30 - 2:30: Activity #2 

2:30–3:00: Wrap-up  

3:00 - 5:00: Extended hours | Art activity #3 (open stations)

Notes:

  • School Year Camps run from 9am - 3pm (or 9 am- 1pm) . Early drop off and extended hours are available for an additional cost.

  • Our camps run when schools are closed during the school year. 

  • Flexible pricing options are available:

    • Drop-In: Join anytime, any day — no commitment required. Subject to availability. 

    • Class Packs: Join multiple classes with discounted class packs.

    • At Xanh, we put our heart into the process—the making, the experimenting, the exploring. We believe creativity thrives not in perfection, but in freedom, curiosity, and discovery.

    • We recognize how powerful the natural world is in sparking children’s imagination and supporting their growth. Whether it’s a nature walk to gather inspiration, using natural textures in our artwork, or drawing from the colors of the season, nature is always woven into our program in some form. Many of our materials also come from everyday life—objects that invite children to see beauty and possibility in the world around them.

    • Step 1: Purchase a class pack on the Class Packs tab. Or you can choose to pay with a class pack right at booking options of each class.  

    • Step 2: Go to our schedule and choose the dates and times that work for you. You can choose different dates, different times. 

    • Step 3: Check out and you are all set 

    • All class packs have expiration dates. Please ensure you use it within the timeframe. 

    • If a class is canceled by Xanh, all registered students will automatically be transferred to the next class. A full refund is also available upon request.

    • Cancellations by customers must be submitted at least 14 days before the class to receive a credit note, which can be applied to any future class.

    • Please note that cancellations made less than 14 days before the class, as well as no-shows, are not eligible for refunds or credit.

    • Strollers can be parked on the side of the building. However, Xanh is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

    • This class takes place at our indoor studio: 11-43 47th Avenue, Long Island City. This is a commercial building shared by multiple businesses at the same address.

    • You can enter our studio through the front or side entrance. Look for our signage.

    • Please ring the bell to enter. For safety reasons, all doors remain locked.
