Explorers

1 - 4 years old and a special grown up

Our Explorers class is a gentle, joyful way for little ones (ages 1–4) and their grown-ups to step into the world of creativity together. Through sensory play, and nature-inspired art, this class encourages connection, curiosity, and creative confidence.

Class Experience:‍ ‍

  • We begin each class by introducing the theme of the day. All activities under a theme which changes every week.

  • Our classes follow a child-led philosophy. Sensory-rich stations are thoughtfully set up to encourage exploration and self-expression at each child’s own pace.

  • The art project is instructor-led. Our art teacher introduces new vocabulary and early art techniques in a classroom-like environment. If your child isn’t ready to participate in the art project, they can always join when they feel ready

  • Class packs are available at a discounted rate

  • This class is best suited for walkers and children who do not put things in their mouths. We use non-toxic materials; however, our materials are not taste-safe.

  • Adult participation is required.

  • One adult per child, due to space limitations.

  • Class Schedule: This class follows the NYC DOE public school calendar. When NYC public schools are open, this class is open; when schools are closed, this class will also be closed.

    • At Xanh, we put our heart into the process—the making, the experimenting, the exploring. We believe creativity thrives not in perfection, but in freedom, curiosity, and discovery.

    • We recognize how powerful the natural world is in sparking children’s imagination and supporting their growth. Whether it’s a nature walk to gather inspiration, using natural textures in our artwork, or drawing from the colors of the season, nature is always woven into our program in some form. Many of our materials also come from everyday life—objects that invite children to see beauty and possibility in the world around them.

    • Step 1: Purchase a class pack on the Class Packs tab. Or you can choose to pay with a class pack right at booking options of each class.  

    • Step 2: Go to our schedule and choose the dates and times that work for you. You can choose different dates, different times. 

    • Step 3: Check out and you are all set 

    • All class packs have expiration dates. Please ensure you use it within the timeframe.

    • If a class is canceled by Xanh, all registered students will automatically be transferred to the next class. A credit is also available upon request.

    • Cancellations by customers must be submitted at least 14 days before the class to receive a credit, which can be applied to any future classes.

    • Please note that cancellations made less than 14 days before the class, as well as no-shows, are not eligible for refunds or credit.

    • If you want to reschedule the class, kindly let us know at least 24-48hours before class. Customers can reschedule one time per booking. Notification less than 24 hours is considered no-shows. 

    • Rescheduling/Changing requests might incur 10% administration fee

  • Strollers can be parked on the side of the building. However, Xanh is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

    • This class takes place at our indoor studio: 11-43 47th Avenue, Long Island City. This is a commercial building shared by multiple businesses at the same address.

    • You can enter our studio through the front or side entrance. Look for our signage.

    • Please ring the bell to enter. For safety reasons, all doors remain locked.
